As usual I had a great time in Raleigh at the Tarheel cluster. Friday Milton went Reserve to the Major. He showed very well for me all weekend.
At the match Friday night, Grace entertained the crowd with her antics, including the soundless bark, leash grabbing, flirting with other puppies, and in general having a fabulous time. While we did not get a ribbon in the Group, I was very pleased with her performance.
Saturday night I attended the TAKE THE LEAD dinner and dance.

Take The Lead
It was a great time, with outstanding food, a nice dance band, plentiful drinks, and fabulous company. Edd Biven and Tom Bradley spoke, along with Dennis McCoy. I sat with Cathy Rubens, Bob Busby, Minna Koltes, Frank Murphy, and others.
I am looking forward to the upcoming show season. I am encouraged by Milton’s showing this past weekend. I expect I will finish my first Bred By Champion before the Spring is out, and his sister Grace won’t be far behind him!
We are very tired, but making it through ok. My daffodils jumped into bloom overnight. I consoled myself with a couple of my favorite things this morning: my dogs and my camera.
The funeral is today at 2pm. I will be very glad when this day is done.

Our weather has gone suddenly springlike. Everything is in bud around here, and my pansies have decided to bloom with a vengeance.
